69. T-28 Original Vintage 1963 "Nomura Tetsujin No.2" (Replica Box)

The most unusual of the Tetsujin group, mainly because it is based on the Mechanized Robby body, with its tapering waist, rather than the couch-potato belly of the usual T-28. This is a substantial robot in mid grey. The D-Cell batteries are housed in the legs. The doors of the battery compartments have as distinctive sliding catch rather than the pins of the Robby. (The repro, therefore, has 'incorrect' catches.) The head is a substantial vinyl structure. 28cm  Courtesy of my friend, Russell in Sydney, Australia

The toy walks swings arms stops and makes mechanical sound. The eyes light up red. He is un-boxed
Condition is 8+ with light play wear.
Has no dents or repainting and is fully functioning.
Litho is bright with no signs of sunlight or smoke damage
Battery case has no acid / corrosion marks inside
Toy seems to have been stored well for a number of years
